Thai lantern observed in Rouen

Summary

On July 21, 2015, a witness in Rouen observed a flying object moving quickly and in a straight line without noise. The testimony describes a rounded shape and an orange color, similar to a lantern. Given the direction of movement matching the prevailing wind and the short duration of the observation, the GEIPAN concluded it was likely a Thai lantern. Although there were no additional testimonies, the collected elements clearly point to a conventional explanation.
