🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On August 11, 2015, a family in Nimes observed two black, boomerang-shaped objects with a triangular front moving silently across the sky. The objects quickly disappeared behind trees, and one of them abruptly changed direction. No other witnesses were found. That day, the weather in Nimes Garons was unusual: the wind shifted from north to south between morning and afternoon, and the observation occurred precisely during this shift, making it impossible to determine the local wind conditions at that moment. The unusual shape and non-linear trajectory suggest objects like kites, drones, or remote-controlled planes. However, the residential environment and unstable wind make kites unlikely. The most plausible hypothesis is a remote-controlled drone, although the GEIPAN cannot confirm it without further evidence or photos/video. The case was classified as "C" due to lack of corroboration.
