Summary

On August 15, 2015, two people in Doulé-la-Fontaine observed seven luminous points silently crossing the sky. The objects were round, orange-red in color, and moved in a straight line before ascending. Although only one detailed testimony was collected, the characteristics of the lights, along with the recorded northerly wind in Angers, suggest they were likely Thai lanterns. These lights are often released during private celebrations. The photographs taken are consistent with this type of object. The GEIPAN classified the case as "B", indicating a probable observation of Thai lanterns.
