Summary

On August 11, 2015, near Dombasle-sur-Meurthe, a witness observed two bright spots of different colors in a clear sky. The objects moved silently in a straight line, then accelerated in a zigzag before disappearing. They maintained the same distance between them throughout the flight. The witness provided precise data such as GPS coordinates, azimuth, and an annotated photo. Despite this, no other testimonies or data about the lights were available. The GEIPAN considered the possibility of a drone, but the case was classified as "C" due to lack of conclusive information.

The "C" classification means the phenomenon could not be identified with certainty. Although conventional explanations were ruled out due to insufficient data, it cannot be ruled out that it was an unconventional object. The case remains open, without a definitive resolution, and is an example of how lack of evidence can prevent a clear conclusion.
