Identified UFO as Ariane gas cloud

Summary

An unusual luminous cloud was observed in Reunion in 2015. A witness captured images of a conical-shaped object surrounded by a halo. The photos were of high quality, allowing for precise identification. After investigation, it matched a launch of Ariane from Kourou. The object was a residual gas cloud from the upper stage of the rocket, illuminated by sunlight. Although initially intriguing, the case was classified as fully identified by the GEIPAN. The coincidence with similar events helped solve the mystery quickly.
