Summary

On the night of September 4 to 5, 2015, two witnesses in Roquebrune-sur-Argens observed silent, moving lights in the sky. One saw them at 23:40 and the other at 00:15 the next day. Both reported luminous circles moving through low clouds. Although no other witnesses were found, the phenomenon's characteristics—its duration and location in a tourist area—suggested a light show from a disco or public event. Laser lights, visible from over 10 km away, could explain the sightings. One witness took photos consistent with this explanation.

GEIPAN did not conduct further investigations to pinpoint the exact source of the lights. The case was ultimately classified as "B"—likely a light display. Despite the similarities between both testimonies, such as the 45-minute interval and different directions, no definitive source was identified. However, a conventional explanation remains the most plausible.
