On September 9, 2015, a witness saw for three seconds a rectangular yellow shape with a central black band moving silently in a straight descending path above the Belledone mountain range. The observation site was near an area highly active for paragliding. This led investigators to consider the possibility of a night flight, which is strictly regulated and requires lights and authorization. In this case, none of the legal conditions were met. Additionally, there were no military exercises in the area. Despite some inconsistencies in the testimony, the case was classified as B, indicating a probable misidentification with a paraglider.
