UFO seen as triangle near Nantes

Summary

An UFO sighting was reported on December 28, 2014 in the Loire-Atlantique region of France. A passenger in a car noticed two fixed and parallel lights in the sky. As the lights passed over the vehicle, the witness, using the panoramic roof, identified a dark triangular shape with the tip pointing south. The lights were located at each corner and one fainter in the center. The trajectory was straight. Although the witness described a triangle, investigators from GEIPAN considered it could be an airplane landing. The perception of intense landing lights might have created an optical illusion, giving the impression of a triangle. Due to the time elapsed, no aeronautical data could be obtained to confirm the observed plane. Finally, the case was classified as "B", indicating a likely observation of an airplane landing.
