Summary

On October 14, 2015, a witness observed several flashes in the sky that could not be identified. After checking the website Heavens Above, no matches with Iridium satellites or other known objects were found. Although the phenomenon seemed unusual, investigators concluded it was likely a satellite out of control spinning rapidly at high altitude. A reconstruction showed that five or six satellites could have been in the observed area. Monitoring the movements of these satellites was proposed to identify the source of the flashes. The case was classified as B, meaning a possible misidentification with satellite reflections.
