On October 21, 2015, a driver and his passenger in Dordogne observed three bright white lights and one red one at low altitude. The lights, described as halos, were stationary above the trees. Initially, they didn't see them clearly, but after arriving home, they spotted them again, more spread out. No noise was heard. The next day, they alerted the gendarmerie, which found no other witnesses or known aerial objects. The report suggests it was a military aircraft during training, as the area is used for low-altitude exercises. The air humidity could explain the halos around the lights. However, GEIPAN couldn't confirm with the military air control due to the delay in notification. Ultimately, the case was classified as B, likely a sighting of a military aircraft during maneuvers.
