🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On November 27, 2015, a driver on the A87 highway observed moving lights in the sky that resembled a circular object with rotating beams at high speed. Although only one witness was recorded, the GEIPAN concluded that the phenomenon likely stemmed from discotheque lights reflected on clouds or mist. Atmospheric conditions can make laser effects visible many kilometers from their source, explaining the fleeting nature of the event. While a technical test from the Puy-du-Fou was ruled out, the exact origin of the beams could not be confirmed. This case was classified as "B" by the GEIPAN, indicating it likely resulted from artificial lights or "skyrose".
