On December 7, 2015, a witness in Limeil-Brevannes observed three luminous points in the sky forming a triangle. These points, white or red, seemed connected. The single testimony collected suggests the objects moved quickly from southwest to northeast. Due to their low intrinsic brightness, they were likely Thai lanterns, often released during celebrations. The local wind supported this hypothesis. Although they appeared fast, their perceived distance made them seem farther away. Lanterns are commonly launched on weekends, and around this time of year, someone might have wanted to send a message to Santa. The GEIPAN classified the case as "B," a probable observation of Thai lanterns.
