🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
In June 2014, an observer in the Lot department of France began noticing colorful spheres in the sky, particularly visible on starry nights. Using binoculars and a telescope, the witness recorded several events over nearly two years, but only on June 6, 2014, was there a prolonged observation lasting 30 minutes. The spheres moved slowly and appeared multicolored. Despite the duration and repetition of the observation, no other witnesses were reported. The GEIPAN concluded that it was likely a case of bright stars such as Capella, Vega, or Deneb, whose color and brightness can change due to atmospheric conditions or an incorrect telescope adjustment. The case was classified as "B," indicating an astronomical rather than a UFO explanation.
