Summary

On December 27, 2015, a driver in Saint-Vallier-de-Thiey observed a glowing object in the sky. He described it as resembling an "upside-down soup bowl" with an orange halo around it. The object moved slowly toward the southwest without making any noise, disappearing on the horizon. Although other drivers also stopped to look, only one testimony was recorded. Given the date and description, the GEIPAN considers it could be a Thai lantern released during a New Year celebration. Despite the lack of clear images, the case is classified as "B," suggesting a plausible explanation, though not confirmed.
