On December 30, 2015, a driver in Gard observed a bright red point for 30 seconds. The object was descending slowly along a gentle curved path. Although she stopped, she didn't manage to take a photo before the phenomenon disappeared. No other witnesses were reported. The possibility of it being a solar reflection on a high-altitude aircraft was considered. A nearby flight heading northeast matched the description of a slow descent. The weather conditions were ideal for observation, with clear skies and a light northerly wind. While the conventional explanation wasn't ruled out, the exact direction of the aircraft couldn't be fully confirmed.
