🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On November 8, 2015, between 11:00 PM and midnight, two people observed silent yellow-orange lights moving in the sky over the Aveyron region in France. The lights appeared to follow each other and disappeared at high altitude, resembling the typical pattern of Thai lanterns. Given the light southeast wind recorded in the area, it was considered likely that the lights traveled from south to north, following the valley paths. The gendarmerie investigated and consulted with air and space monitoring centers, but found no anomalies or unidentified objects. Ultimately, the GEIPAN classified the case as "B", meaning a very likely observation of Thai lanterns launched after a private celebration.
