In April 2016, two witnesses in Roissy-en-France observed a square-shaped object spinning and shining in the sky. One of them recorded the event, which lasted about two minutes, while the other watched for 13 minutes. Both thought it was a plane debris, but no other testimonies were collected. Although the case is not particularly strange, the object's constant rotation around its axis drew attention. The witnesses admitted that observation conditions were difficult, with the sun interfering and limited visibility. Despite contradictions in their descriptions, the video of the second object was mainly analyzed.
GEIPAN concluded that the object could be a light debris affected by wind and its asymmetrical shape. Its fall generated airflow contributing to the observed spin. Although other explanations are not ruled out, the case was classified as a probable airborne debris of unknown origin. The rotation and movement of the object are consistent with natural aerodynamic effects.
