On August 28, 2016, a witness in Loiret observed an orange light in the sky moving silently from south to north. Shortly after, another light followed the same path, and the phenomenon repeated between 7 and 10 times with identical features. A photo was taken and only one witness account was recorded. After analysis, investigators concluded it was likely a "Thai lantern" event, common during festivities. The movement direction matched the wind, and color analysis supported this hypothesis. The GEIPAN classification A indicates a very probable observation of such lanterns.
