🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
In January and February 2017, a witness in Saône-et-Loire reported unusual luminous phenomena appearing both in the sky and near the ground. The events lasted from night until dawn, and the witness described lights moving in an odd way, even behind trees. Although others promised to cooperate, they did not confirm the sightings, raising doubts about the reliability of the account. Gendarmes found nothing during one of the nights, increasing the confusion. The GEIPAN concluded that the testimony was insufficient to validate an unexplained observation, due to the lack of reliable information and contradictions between reports.
