🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1947, an observer in Montgomery, Alabama, reported a luminous object moving at high speed in a zigzag pattern. The object appeared suddenly in a clear moonlit night and made no sound, drawing the attention of several qualified witnesses. The Air Force investigated the case and considered the possibility of a weather balloon, but no definitive explanation was found. This document is part of the records of Project 10073, an early initiative to study unidentified sightings.
The report includes evaluations by J. Allen Hynek, who classified several cases based on their likelihood of having a conventional explanation. Although some possibilities, such as rockets or reflections, were ruled out, the Montgomery case remains unexplained. The lack of noise and the object's unusual behavior make it one of the most intriguing UFO cases in history.
