In June 1947, an observer in Montgomery, Alabama, reported a luminous object moving at high speed in a zigzag pattern. The object appeared suddenly in a clear moonlit night and made no sound, drawing the attention of several qualified witnesses. The Air Force investigated the case and considered the possibility of a weather balloon, but no definitive explanation was found.
