On August 18, 2013, three witnesses in Montferrand-le-Château (France) saw a formation of yellow lights in the sky. The objects moved silently in a straight line, forming a triangle with up to eleven visible disks. Although it might initially seem unexplainable, the investigation concluded it was flying lights. These matched the typical characteristics of Thai lanterns: color, lack of noise, and group movement. Additionally, a wedding was taking place near the observation site, confirming the lanterns' launch. The absence of wind allowed the lanterns to stay together and move slowly, creating the illusion of a single object. Confirmation from the local authorities and the wedding organizer ruled out any doubt about the explanation.
