🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1947, in Twin Falls, Idaho, several witnesses reported sightings of unidentified flying objects. They were described as bright points moving at high speed, forming triangular patterns in the sky. Some separated from a group of ten and took a different direction. Observers, including police officers, noted that these were not reflections of city lights or birds. The descriptions varied between incandescent-like objects and reflective ones, creating confusion in the evaluation.
The Air Force concluded there were no astronomical elements in the incident and suggested conventional explanations, such as signal lights or cloud reflections. However, the inability to accurately estimate distance and the nature of the objects left many questions unanswered. The case was included in the Project Grudge report, classified as low probability for an astronomical explanation. Despite this, witnesses insisted there was no conventional explanation for what they saw.
