🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1947, a radar technician at Holloman Air Base in New Mexico reported an unidentified object appearing on his screen. The object was motionless and did not behave like normal aircraft or balloons. The technician stated the object was not a balloon and was moving at a very high speed. This report was considered highly significant by the Intelligence Department, prompting a series of meetings and visits to investigate further.
In May 1948, intelligence officers traveled to Holloman to interview a scientist from Watson Laboratories, who had been temporarily assigned there. However, upon arrival, they found the scientist had already returned to New York. Despite this, they obtained information from another witness, a civilian working in the same lab. This witness confirmed the object was round, white, and moving at great altitude and speed. Additionally, it was mentioned that other observers at the base had seen similar objects on radar in previous occasions. Although the main scientist could not be interviewed, a detailed report of his observations was requested.
