🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1948, trained balloon observers at Holloman AFB spotted an unidentified object. The object had a round, indistinct shape and was large in size, appearing gray-white in color. It moved at an unusually high speed, faster than any known aircraft. Its flight path was erratic, completing a large loop after descending, then soaring upward and suddenly disappearing. The sighting lasted about 30 seconds and was officially reported to the ATIC.
The report, though brief, describes an unusual aerial behavior that did not match any known aircraft of that era. Despite being observed by qualified personnel, the object could not be identified, adding mystery to this 1948 case.
