🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1948, a shining object was observed over Adapazari, Turkey, and was suspected to be a rocket. According to a local newspaper report, the object was seen exploding in the air and left debris that killed a dog. While some speculated a possible link to Soviet experiments in the region, no official confirmation was given. The available information was limited, but suggested the object might be an unidentified rocket. The investigation was entrusted to experts, and further details were sought to determine its origin.
The news caused some local alarm, and U.S. authorities requested a detailed report from the Air Attache in Ankara. Despite speculation, no images or sketches of the event were found. The object was described as shining and estimated to be flying at about 200 meters in altitude. Although its extraterrestrial nature was not confirmed, the case was included in the records of unidentified flying objects from that era.
