🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1948, at Godman Air Base in Kentucky, a bright spherical object with a silvery color was observed. Initially considered an unidentified flying object, even an F-51 fighter jet was dispatched to investigate. However, after detailed analysis, it was confirmed that the object was the planet Venus. It was in a period of maximum brightness and was estimated to be between 30,000 and 40,000 feet in altitude. Astronomical data and observations confirmed no significant discrepancies between the observed position and the actual position of Venus. Although the case was resolved, the investigation methodology was reviewed to improve accuracy in future reports.
