🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In 1948, a witness in Maplewood, Ohio, observed a silver-colored sphere emerging from the woods and floating across his farm. As it moved, the object appeared to unravel a silver substance that drifted toward the ground. Eventually, the object disintegrated mid-air. The report, partially illegible, notes that the witness was conscientious and sincere, and the incident occurred while he was speaking with a representative from the air command.
The official investigation, conducted by Project "SIGN," aimed to determine whether the object could have been a weather balloon. Factors such as wind direction and speed, and observations from nearby weather stations were analyzed. Despite this, the report did not reach a definitive conclusion, and the phenomenon remains unexplained.
