🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1948, a pilot and radio operator in Canada observed a luminous object shaped like an egg with a tail. The incident occurred near Peace River, Alberta, while the crew was flying at 7,000 feet above a cloud layer. The object, approximately 50 feet in height, emitted a bright orange glow and was moving at high speed. Although a lit balloon was considered, the report suggests it didn't fit conventional explanations. The object made no sound and appeared to be in a shallow dive, briefly illuminating the sky behind it. This case was documented by air authorities at the time, but no definitive conclusion was reached about its nature.
The official report describes the object as a "bright orange UFO" with an egg-like shape and tail, seen near Edmonton. The crew observed it for a brief moment at an estimated altitude of 18,000 feet. Despite multiple reviews and comparisons with weather balloons, no clear explanation was found. The object left no sound or smoke trail, making it even more enigmatic. This case is part of a series of 1940s reports still studied and debated by UFO researchers.
