🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In 1948, a U.S. Army officer at Fort Benning, Georgia, reported an unidentified flying object. The document, though with OCR errors, mentions an observation including details about the object's appearance and movement. The report, classified and later declassified, shows how military authorities were already noting unexplained aerial phenomena.
The document, written in formal language and sometimes illegible, describes a situation that generated official interest. Although no clear conclusion was reached, the fact that it was archived in military records indicates it was considered relevant at the time. This case is one of the earliest formal UFO reports in U.S. government archives.
