🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In January 1949, a luminous phenomenon was observed simultaneously in Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. Military and civilian witnesses reported seeing a bright green object moving in a southerly direction. The observation lasted only a few seconds, but it was enough to generate an official report. The object left no physical evidence and was not photographed, but its description matched the "green fireball" phenomenon, attributed to meteors or atmospheric particles.
The case was classified as astronomical in origin, suggesting that observers found no evidence of an unidentified craft. However, the coincidence of multiple witnesses across different states and the unusual green color of the object generated a detailed record. This document, part of Project 10073, reflects how even in the early years of UFO study, phenomena that were natural still sparked interest among researchers.
