🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In February 1949, a couple of witnesses in Little Rock, Arkansas, observed an unidentified flying object that appeared as a perfectly round disc with a diameter between 30 and 60 feet. Despite the darkness, the object was clearly outlined by radiation or luminescence, making it visible at a high altitude estimated between 10,000 and 12,000 feet. The disc showed remarkable maneuverability, stopping and changing direction several times, even ascending vertically several thousand feet before returning to its original altitude. The witnesses, including a construction company employee and a housewife, heard no sound and saw no exhaust trail, adding to the mystery of the event.
The observation lasted half an hour, and the object was reported to move at a speed "several times faster than any conventional aircraft." At one point, the disc projected a vertical beam of light toward the ground, generating even more curiosity. The weather conditions were ideal, with clear skies and good visibility. Although the exact color of the object could not be determined, its shape and behavior made it an unusual event that was officially reported and archived as part of the UFO records of the time.
