🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1949, a security inspector in Los Alamos observed a luminous object that appeared to be a flaming aircraft. The object, with an intense white light and a greenish tint, was moving slowly at a 45-degree angle, descending toward the ground. Initially mistaken for a plane in distress, it produced no sound or smoke. The witness described a shape resembling a wartime German plane fuselage, with a metallic appearance and distinct outlines. The sighting lasted 2 to 4 seconds, and the object vanished into the clouds. This declassified report from decades later highlights how unexplained aerial phenomena were recorded even in the 1940s.
