🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
On April 19, 1949, a witness in Williams, Arizona, reported a greenish-blue flash in the sky. The object, described as a fireball or meteorite, traveled northeast in a straight line and disappeared behind an obstacle. The observer, inside a bus with the window closed, saw it for about two seconds. Although initially considered a meteorite, its speed and characteristics didn't match typical ones. The report noted no smoke, sound, or cloud impact, raising questions about its nature.
The investigation included testimonies from locals and weather reports, but no one else confirmed the sighting. The observer, a reverend with some astronomy knowledge, described the object as bright, green with a blue tail. Despite doubts, the official report classified it as a meteorite, though it left room for uncertainty about its true identity.
