🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In 1949, an American naval officer shared shocking testimonies about flying saucer sightings. According to the document, photographs taken at a South Polar base showed objects flying at incredible speeds. A redacted commander claimed these objects were visitors from another planet. Additionally, he mentioned sightings at White Sands, New Mexico, where trained observers recorded a 105-foot diameter object. These statements appeared in a popular magazine, sparking controversy and debate within the military.
Despite photographic evidence and expert testimonies, not everyone was convinced. A classmate of the commander questioned his conclusions, suggesting further investigation was needed. Meanwhile, the official Air Force explanation attributed sightings to weather balloons. This declassified document reflects the confusion and military interest in unexplained aerial phenomena during that era.
