🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A witness in Charlotte, North Carolina, spotted an amber cylindrical object in the sky on April 7, 1949. The object remained stationary for about 10 minutes and cast unusual reflections on the lights of a football stadium. Two witnesses identified it as strange and showed it to a local reporter. Later, they returned to the site and observed that a Pyrex insulator was reflecting light in a similar way, suggesting a possible earthly explanation. However, investigators found no conclusive evidence and consulted astronomers and observatories, who reported nothing unusual for that date.
The official investigation concluded that the object could not be identified and did not appear to be a conventional aircraft. Despite testimonies and detailed descriptions, there were no photographs or physical evidence to confirm the nature of the phenomenon. The case was filed as an unidentified object, without a definitive explanation.
