In May 1949, several residents of Sidney, Ohio, reported the sighting of an unidentified flying object. According to a report from the United States Air Force, a man opening his jewelry store saw a bright, shiny silver object resembling a flying disc. The object appeared at an altitude of 85 degrees, was traveling northeast, and performed maneuvers such as climbing and descending.
