Summary

In May 1949, an army officer in Texas observed a bright round object that changed color between pink and green. The phenomenon was seen for 90 minutes and moved very slowly at low altitude. The observer used binoculars and a telescope to confirm it was not a natural phenomenon or a conventional plane. The object slowly faded away, shrinking in size until it disappeared. Although no sound or odor was detected, its brightness exceeded any visible star.

The report, classified by the Fourth Army, includes details such as the object's exact direction, relative size, and movement description. The observer, a respected officer, was carefully interviewed and no reason to doubt his testimony was found.
