In May 1949, multiple sightings of unidentified aerial objects were reported at Camp Hood, Texas. A military officer observed a diamond-shaped object, colored reddish to greenish-white, moving north and descending slowly. It remained visible for 57 seconds before disappearing. Another sighting described a similar object, stationary in the west, viewed with binoculars. Witnesses noted its intense incandescent glow, comparable to a bright star.
