🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1949, a U.S. Air Force officer and a civilian reported an unidentified object near Hickam AFB in Hawaii. The object was described as circular with a tapered tail, lacking a visible tail, and displaying colors of orange and white. It was spotted twice within five minutes at different altitudes, showing good maneuverability and no sound or exhaust trail.
The object, estimated to be about the size of a softball, was moving at over 500 miles per hour in a northerly direction. It first appeared on a horizontal path and then executed a 25-degree dive during its second sighting. Despite efforts, no photographs or physical evidence were obtained. This case, part of Project 10073, remains an unsolved mystery.
