🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1949, at Hill Air Base, Utah, a military officer reported seeing two unidentified aerial objects. One was a dull silver disc-shaped object, while the other was circular, blue on one side and silver on the other. Both objects were traveling southeast, reflecting sunlight, and moving at a speed similar to a C-47 aircraft. Although observers considered the possibility of weather balloons, there was no conclusive evidence. The observation lasted about a minute, and the objects vanished without leaving physical traces.
The official report concluded that no data presented indicated the objects could not have been conventional aircraft. However, the detailed descriptions and unusual characteristics of the objects raised doubts about their nature. This case is part of the Project 10073 records, an Air Force initiative to investigate UFO sightings during the Cold War.
