🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1949, an engineer from Pittsburgh reported seeing an oval and very thin object in the sky. While driving along Old Brownsville Road near Ginger Hill, Pennsylvania, he initially mistook it for an airplane. Upon closer observation, he noted that it had no projections, lights, or noise, and was moving at twice the speed of a conventional aircraft. The object was flying at around 2,000 feet, with a slight tilt, and disappeared behind trees. The witness, respected in his community and technically trained, described its appearance and behavior in detail.
The Air Force investigation concluded that no other aircraft were in the area at that time. Weather conditions were favorable for visibility, with up to 5 miles of visibility. Despite the detailed and credible account, no conventional explanation was found for the phenomenon. The official report classified it as a conventional aircraft, but the description suggests it could be an interesting case for UFO research.
