Summary

In June 1949, a farmhand in Tioga, Colorado, reported observing five objects flying in formation at high altitude. The objects were arranged in two echelons, two flying parallel followed by three that changed positions. The witness estimated a speed of 500-600 mph and an altitude of 20,000 feet. No sounds, lights, or emissions were recorded, complicating identification. The investigation concluded the objects could be a cluster of weather or research balloons, though no conclusive evidence was found. The report is part of Project Grudge, a USAF effort to investigate unidentified aerial phenomena.
