🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1949, at Camp Hood, Texas, a U.S. Army officer observed an unidentified aerial phenomenon that sparked significant interest. The object was described as a luminous ball with rainbow colors, moving rapidly in a descending arc. Although initially classified as a meteor, witnesses, including a pilot and a geologist, provided details suggesting something more unusual. The object produced no sound, left no physical trace, and disappeared suddenly. The lack of physical evidence and the variability in descriptions complicated the classification of the incident.
The official report categorized it as an astronomical phenomenon, but witnesses insisted it was not a common meteor. Descriptions of colors, speed, and trajectory were consistent among different observers, adding credibility to the account. Despite subsequent investigations, no conventional explanations were found, leaving this case as one of many in the history of UFOs that remain unresolved.
