In June 1949, a witness in Mesa, Arizona observed four disc-shaped objects hovering around a cloud for 30 minutes. The objects were steel gray and reflected sunlight. A fifth disc later appeared, moving from west to east at a high altitude. The witness used seven-power binoculars for part of the observation. Despite the prolonged sighting, authorities deemed the report unreliable. The children who also saw the objects had not spoken before due to fear of punishment from their parents.
