🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1949, a witness in Alexandria, Louisiana, described a round object flat on the edges and thick in the center, with a bright yellow luminous core. The object appeared directly overhead her home and remained visible for about three minutes. According to her account, it moved slowly, like a balloon, and disappeared behind trees and buildings. No sounds or emissions were observed, and there were no effects on clouds. The witness, a housewife with studies in French history, was considered a person of excellent character, and no signs of exaggeration were found in her report.
The description includes details such as the object's gray luminous color with a yellow center, size similar to an automobile wheel, and an estimated altitude of 2000 feet. No complex maneuvers or visible propulsion were recorded. The report concludes that there was no evidence of supernatural or conventional explanation, and it is considered a typical case under Project "SIGN," which collected testimonies of unidentified sightings.
