Summary

In July 1949, in Pullman, Washington, three disc-shaped objects were sighted by four witnesses. They described black tops and silver bottoms, with no sound or exhaust. The objects flew in formation, making precise 90-degree turns. Although B-29s were known to be in the area, the objects could not be positively identified. The witnesses, railroad workers, gave consistent accounts.

The objects moved mechanically and regularly, blinking as the surfaces alternated. No control surfaces or conventional propulsion were visible. The official investigation concluded they were aircraft, but the details did not match the observations. The weather was clear and hot, ruling out atmospheric phenomena.
