🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1949, several witnesses at the Fairfield-Suisun Air Force Base in California reported a spherical object in the sky. The incident occurred at dawn, when a weather officer and others observed a stationary object at high altitude. They described it as reflecting sunlight similarly to the aluminum skin of an aircraft. The object remained visible for about an hour and a half before disappearing behind a haze layer. Although initially considered a planet, there was no clear explanation for its immobility or unusual appearance.
Witness accounts agree that the object showed no movement, despite strong winds typical at that altitude. The absence of noise, trail, or any behavior typical of an aircraft or balloon increased the mystery. Although conventional explanations like planets or satellites were dismissed, the official report did not reach a definitive conclusion. This case, documented in declassified files, remains an unsolved mystery in UFO history.
