🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1949, a 65-year-old woman in Moreauville, Louisiana, observed a luminous gray object moving at high speed. The object, described as larger than a small airplane, was seen for between 30 seconds and 5 minutes before disappearing behind a building. Although initially considered to be an aircraft, its speed and appearance did not match the usual. The observer, a reliable homemaker, was supported by her son, who also saw the object. The official report concluded it was an aircraft, but the details of the case suggest it could have been something unusual.
The object had an elongated shape with finger-like projections at each end and moved in a straight line, though with slight undulating motions. It left no trail and made no sound, and it faded out slowly without touching the ground. Despite investigating other possibilities, such as aerial tests or weather devices, no physical evidence was found. The case was classified as "closed" without a clear explanation, making it another example of UFO reports that resist definitive identification.
