🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1949, two observers in Indiana spotted luminous objects described as flying discs. These objects performed complex maneuvers, orbiting in opposite directions and emitting a phosphorescent glow. The witnesses, who were neither imaginative nor under the influence of substances, insisted the objects were real and appeared to be made of shiny metal. Despite attempts to rule out explanations like northern lights or bird reflections, no conventional cause was found.
The official investigation failed to confirm the identity of the objects, and the witnesses provided no further details or findings. The case remained unresolved, adding to the list of unidentified aerial phenomena that sparked curiosity and debate at the time.
