🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1949, an Idaho wildlife biologist observed an unidentified aerial object near Nampa. The witness, working for the Idaho Fish and Game Department, saw a delta-shaped object reflecting blue and rose colors. The object was at about a 45-degree angle from the horizon and traveling westward at high speed. Suddenly, it made a sharp U-turn and headed east, disappearing quickly. The report concluded it was not a conventional aircraft, though no physical evidence was found. The witness, with no prior experience of similar objects, described the disappearance as if the object had turned on its edge and faded away.
The report, though brief, includes details of the observation and analysis. The object left no physical traces or noise, and the witness could not see it again after the initial sighting. The Air Force investigated the case but found no conventional explanation. The incident was filed as an unidentified aerial object sighting, with no further conclusions.
